You’ve probably heard the phrase “as American as apple pie,” and that’s not without reason. Homemade Apple pie is probably the most iconic of American dishes in the states introduced by British and Dutch immigrants. However, over the years, it has been transformed into a distinctly American food experience, usually served with a vanilla ice cream scoop.

- ½ a glass of unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons universal flour
- ¼ cup of water
